Dear Former Brockway Employee, 

The Brockway Truck Show is celebrating its 11th year with an expanded two day schedule of special events which will take place in Cortland, NY on Friday, August 13 and Saturday, August 14, 2010.  One of the highlights of our Brockway Truck Show has been the reunion of former Brockway employees. We hope you can join us this year as we once again get together to reminisce, renew old friendships and celebrate the long history of Brockway in our community.

We have a new location and time for your gathering this year.  You are invited to be the guest of the Brockway Truck Preservation Association at the chicken barbeque being held on Saturday, August 14 at 5 p.m. at the museum site, 4392 US Route 11, Cortland, NY.    There will NO charge to you.  If you wish to bring your spouse or a friend the cost will be $20.00.  The menu will consist of barbequed chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans, applesauce, dessert and beverage.  We will need reservations to let us know how many to plan for.  So please complete the enclosed reservation form and return it to us by July 24^th.  

We are enclosing one of our advertising fliers so you will have a complete schedule of this special two-day celebration.  The festivities will begin on Friday with a pre-show fundraiser BBQ which begins at 5 p.m. at the museum site, 4392 US Rt. 11 (reservations required).  The Brockway Auction has been moved to Friday evening starting at 8 p.m., also at the museum site.  At 9:30 p.m. we will celebrate our 11^th Annual Brockway Truck Show with a spectacular display of fireworks on the grounds in back of the museum.  On Saturday all the Brockway trucks will once again assemble at the site of our new Brockway Museum on Route 11 for the parade at 8:30 a.m. to Main Street in Downtown Cortland where they will remain on display until 3:30 p.m.  Prizes will be awarded at 3 p.m.  The Cortland County Historical Society will have their Brockway history display in a vacant Main Street storefront.  Activities for Saturday evening include the chicken barbeque (reservations required) and a program honoring the former Brockway employees.

P.S.   Museum Fundraiser:  There will be a pre-show barbeque on Friday evening, Aug. 13^th, 5 – 8 p.m.,

          at the Museum site.  This will be a continuous 3-hour buffet catered by Bob’s Barbeque of

          Homer, NY and will feature barbequed chicken, pulled pork, salt potatoes, macaroni salad,

          baked beans, coleslaw, brownies, soda, water.  The cost will be $25.00 per person.
