Water in oil

I got around to getting the water system pressurized and its pressurizing the oil system too and coming down around the bearings

Oil cooler. Either the cooler to block gaskets or the tube bundle. Either way the cooler needs to come off the side of the block. It's below the exhaust manifold.
Pull it apart, look for blown gaskets, cracks in the housings, and pressure test the tube bundle by making a couple of round plates to cover the ends, put about 15 psi into the core and submerge it in a tank of warm water looking for bubbles. Are you showing any oil in the radiator? Usually when the cooler fails the oil, being under greater pressure, will go into the coolant.

Just happened to spot this one on Ebay currently. Might not be a bad way to go if you have to buy a cooler bundle for yours. The tube bundle is over $300 new.

I got the oil cooler taken off it looks to be ok but sometimes looks can be desiving and I found no oil in the coolant.

You need to disassemble further. Remove the o rings around the end of the tube bundle and push it out of the housing. Be sure to make a couple of marks on both the bundle and the housing as the bundle is timed to the housing in a certain position. If you look closely you will see a factory timing mark. Take a couple pieces of scrap plate steel and some rubber and clamp them over the ends of the round bundle. You need to drill and tap a hole in one of the plates so that you can apply about 20 psi of air to the bundle. While pressurized, submerge the entire rig in warm water and watch for bubbles. Also inspect each of the castings for and cracks.

let me know the results. Are you sure the coolant was coming out around the bearings? Very strange.

It did seem strange it was also coming out of the oil pump line

Complete the pressure test on the oil cooler as discussed. The only place coolant and oil are close is in the oil cooler. For coolant to get into the pressurized oil system, I feel it's somewhere where the galleys are close to each other. If it were a head gasket failure you would see both oil and water leaking externally, and water coming down from the pushrod area usually.

I got the bundle off i found a new one it turns out the m809 used the same engine so found a place Memphis equipment had a bunch in stock.they had a bunch of other cummins parts too. i hope to get it together soon

Was the old bundle tested ? and was it found to be leaking?
