Identity crisis

Postby Huskiedrive2 » Sun Oct 21, 2018 10:12 am

Here's a picture of a 359 with an identity crisis. It doesn't know what it is because it started life as a 358 with 504 V8 Cummins RT-613 RoadRanger and SQHD Rockwell rears with 5.40 ratio. When the owner and I rebuilt it, the truck ended up as a 359 NTC-400 Cummins, RTO-12513 RoadRanger and the SQHD Rockwells got changed to 4.11 ratio. The truck is owned by Hughson Excavating.

Stan, nice upgrade. Do they work the truck or is it their show truck?

The truck was a daily worker up until about 2 years ago. The company bought a lighter empty weight truck with an aluminum body to be able to carry more load and meet NY bridge laws on consecutive axles. The Brockway needs a tag axle to be legal with a full load. She still gets used when two trucks are needed for a job, or when there is site work.
