NYS Fairground Highway EXPOu

Postby STRETCH » Mon Oct 22, 2018 6:42 pm

Was asked to bring some old iron to the Highway Expo in Syracuse last week.
There was a lot of interest in the old stuff.

I spoke to a few older town guys that all told stories if the Brockways they had.
They would like to have this again next year .

That's great Stretch. These news guys need to understand how old guys actually worked hard at their jobs. No AC or power steering. No lasers on the dozer for grade etc.. The crews today scream if the AC don't work in their air ride cab!

Stretch, thanks for the pics, I’m a big fan of old school.
Stan, I started driving a truck for a living in 1973 at 18 years old. The first time I had a vehicle with AC was 2009, I attribute a lot of my hearing loss from having the windows rolled down. But I don’t regret any of it, I made a good living and met a lot of good people.
