Tri Axle ?

Is there a specific length chassis used when building a triaxle dump also do heavy axles usually get spect out for this type. of application. Wade

For the wheelbase length, you need to know the length of the proposed dump body. For axle capacity and type/capacity of tag axle, you need to know the capacity of the dump body, ie: 16 yard, 20 yard, etc.. A good starting point might be to find a modern truck with the same size dump body you want and make note of wheelbase and axle size. Trucks that are meant to be hauling a heavy load on their backs (dump truck) are usually spec'd much heavier than a tractor pulling the same weight as the load is then shared between the rear axles of the tractor and the axles of the trailer.
