Words can't describe what I am feeling. I grew up spending summers on Bluff Point NY, KeuKa Lake, where my parents had a summer cottage. The Penn Yan Express home terminal was less than seven miles from our cottage. I have many fond memories of PYE and all the Brockways. Thanks George for letting us know about it. I've never seen so many great pictures on one site before!!!!

I worked for Con-Way Eastern Express in 1987. I made it to all the terminals listed on the website. Unfortunately, all the Brockways were gone by then. Carl

WOW!!! Talk about a Brockway consumer. Over many years it looks like they had everything! The site is polluted by only a few Mack's and Fords. Otherwise pretty pristine. I like the fleet photo with tilt frame windshields, gasket windshields and wrap arounds all on the great old style cabs. Shows a good evolution.

Hi,,,My name is Ronald Hinson and I created the Penn Yan Express website.
I would like to thank everyone for their kind comments about the site. It was
a pleasure doing it and I must say I know more about the Company now
than I did when I worked there. I have enjoyed conversing with several of the
members and have found the stories interesting. I will be posting another 30-40
truck photos on the website in a couple of weeks and just a warning there is some
Mack and Ford pictures. Also for you racing buffs, I will be adding videos of the
Penn Yan Express #96 at Langhorne Speedway in 1954 and 1955 and Dutch Hoags
first Langhorne win in 1956. Thanks and have a great day

Ron - welcome aboard! We are glad you joined us. I think I speak for all of us when I say we are thrilled by all the great Brockway pictures you have posted on your site. I'm sure that most of us will also be interested in the photos of the "other " brands as well. We like old trucks! Please browse around our site. You will find that there are many interesting things we have to offer. We would also like to have you join us at some of the shows and gatherings we do. Welcome to the Brockway family!! Stan Augustine

Ron,
Over the years Penn Yan trucks came into my business in Green Island, New York and I knew when deliveries were going to be made and I always hoped one of the tandem 759 Brockways with the Cummins 903 would be making a delivery as they had the second best sound. Never had a camera ready.
Thanks again for the Great article and the memories it brought back,
Peter A Grimm

The pictures are great. Does anyone know how many Brockways Penn Yan bought?

My guess based on the tractor numbering system would approximately
be about 400-450 units

Ron you did a great job putting your site together. Very impressive. Of course this group is partial to Brockways, but the information in general is great. What is your relation to Robert Hinson? Steve

Has anybody been to this site in a while? Google has it blocked as 'it may harm your computer' I sent an email to Ron Hinson as well.
