I have decided to throw out a add if someone wanted this project more than me. I have a 1954 HUGHE lowboy fixed single axle trailer. I dont think its a HUGHE, it was probably originally a Martin or a Fruhauf trailer. But at some point someone registered it as a Hughe. Anyway, it used to be an 8 tire single axle, and only able to be hauled by a single axle. The guy i bought it from extended it so a tandem would fit under it and also put a modern day single axle with 4 wheels behind it. It has 16 feet of well when you hop over the wheels. I started ripping off the deck boards, and have new ones to put back on. Thats as far as a got. I really like this trailer and will continue to fix it up as long as nobody wants it. No rot at all in main beams or cross members. If anyone is interested please let me know. This trailer reminds me of the dude with the 359 in NH i believe that hauls one around to shows.
Anyone serious, get ahold of me.
