It will fit but the Doghouse might be different depending on what motors the different trucks had. I.e. a 359 with a 6-71 will have a different doghouse than a 358 with a 230 cummins.

Can I lower the 359 cab and use my doghouse and hood?

The physical cab is the same, just the dimensions of the doghouse inside the cab may be different. You can change the firewall and floor to make your doghouse fit but that's a lot of work. The reason the 359 cab is taller is because it sits on riser brackets.

So if I take the riser brackets off, I should be able to stay with my 358 parts?

The risers and cab skirts. Like he said, the doghouse may be different, so you might have a problem with that, but yes you can use the 358 parts.

I took a 358 cab and welded my 360 firewall in it, for my 360. it took me about 14 hours to cut the fire walls out and about an hour to weld it back in. good luck. It's not hard just tedious.
