Last week a US Army Soldier (Just Finished his tour) stopped by my Jersey City Term. He asked if he could look at some of my Brock's an Mack's, so I took him for the nickel tour. So he tells me the reason he came in was that my 761 caught his eye. Now get this, he tells me he has seen trucks like this in northern Iraq!! I said to him how could you tell they were like this one? He told me he has never seen a truck with a HUSKY DOG and never saw a Brockway before, and only new of the bulldog that is on a Mack! He said that he was not much of a truck guy but he did know that the truck had the same cab as the old NYC garbage trucks had (I'm guessing the old DM' back in th 70's & 80's) so I got him a soda and we BS's for a few minutes, I thanked him for his service to our Country and he left, he said he was going to bring his uncle back who was a truck driver in the city. Now I know that some of the last Brockways built were sent to Iran, could this be one of them? And who were they built for? does anyone know? Holy COW I was just blown away with that story!! A now I'm thinking about all the questions that I should have asked the kid and didn't, including getting his phone #

I knew they still existed. It is too hard to get a good, quality built truck in Iran with decades of sanctions in place.

I've often wondered, what with our exposure in the middle east, if we'd ever hear of those last Huskies that went to Iran. Given the durability inherent in "the ruggedest Trucks in the World" I'm not surprised they are still running these trucks. It's good to get some confirmation.
