More like blocking the gate...

On the way home, close to being dark, spotted this 761 at the same location as the blue 359 dump that I posted a while back. Will be by there Sunday, maybe able to get brighter photos, if it's still there.

That dogs got a case of skin rash!
I just noticed that is a Van Kleeck truck, Clarence Ritchie, "slaterockbrock" owns Van Kleecks old U360, with the same stripe pattern.

I looked at this truck 3-4 years ago. I heard it went to this guy. Triple frame if i remember right. Skin rash is a nice way to put it jeff!

You should have seen her in 1997 when I sold it to Mr.Van Kleek. It was originally a mixer out of southern PA, it had no rust at all and I always wished I had kept it and made a dump out of it. Guess we can't keep all of them had a 290 Cummins and a RTO 958LL, Rust in peace!

Skin rash or not, it's still a 35 year old truck earning it's keep. How many other brands do you see still working after 35 years? Certainly not some of the name brands still in business. Long live the Huskie!!!!

About 2 years ago he dumped a load off it and the box fell off... I might have pictures of that somewhere. The truck is "El Junkola" to put it nicely. And we found where he stuffed the 359 the other day, it's across the street by Valente's Gravel bank. Still full of roots like the first pics you posted

Ted-funny you say that, when we looked at it the frame had swelled so bad it broke the hinges on the box( i guess he didn't weld them).

I was told they put a spring hanger in it, and the frame broke!

Ok - broken frame, rusty sheetemetal, bald tires, etc., etc. I see that as being the results of an owner who has a zero maintenance belief. The fact remains, the old girl has 15 yards on her back and can still work, problems and all. She may not be pretty, but hell, I'm no John Wayne either!

Stan- I'm with you there, she would never break in half. I think they hauled salt with it so in the end the triple frame was a detriment which allowed for twice the spreading(so to speak). Still has nice appearance as a d-truck. Jeff- you are right, they started to put new spring hangers, springs in it and after taking off old hardware they had to jack or winch etc. to get new stuff in and frame split between tandems. I guess I had a bad experience dealing with prior owner he was asking $18k at which time I said have a nice day! Stan-that might be 15cy plus

I always thought a truck's hood was supposed to go over the engine, not in its bed? For some reason it looks to me like that 761 looks less stressed out now that its not holding up that load.
