I would like to find a 36" or 42" Able sleeper with either a single or dual exhaust cutouts... Does anybody have any leads on any?

At least your not looking for a 60, those are impossible to find! An example of one is on the R700 in convoy. No help with sleepers.

Tom, that is the first time I’ve ever seen a sleeper with the exhaust cut out like that!
And I’ve been looking for a few years for sleepers,
:?: is that your shop when you first built it?

Thanks Sam... I will ask the guy from oldmacktrucks.com when I see him at Macungie next week.

Tony... I believe Able, Morgan and Rest Rite made sleepers for Macks with single or dual cutouts. I am leaning towards a 42" Able. Like Jeff said, 60" are extremely rare.

The ones the Meehan has on his website aren't Able sleepers. One is a fiberglass Morgan, the other is a Rest Rite.I've got a NOS 36" Able single cut out I'd sell.It has some slight damage to the back panel, but it's easily repaired.Never been painted, still in the factory primer.

Thanks Mike, but I was able to find one here in PA only a few hours from the house. Quadbox knew of one for sale a while back and the owner still had it...

It's a 42" and it came off of a '88 R Model. Here are a few pics...

Wow!! That looks great! Doesn't look to be enough room for 42" sleeper there. Can the fifth wheel be adjusted? Or what's the plan? Or is it just the angle of the photo?
BTW We have a neat little truck museum here in Cherryville for Carolina's Freight. As part of the exhibit they have a converted trailer they use for slide presentation. It's an early trailer with a sleeping compartment in its nose. Only one I've ever seen but neat. It's mostly Macks but they have a picture of some 457's as the only Brockways they ever used. Apparently they got a great deal on them at a tough time for Brockway, but the photos are the only thing remaining and I had to ask about Brockway to find those.

Given the wonders that you're doing with the 361T, I can't wait to see how you fit a 60-inch TV, refrigerator, and microwave into the sleeper. Are you planning a swimming pool and tennis court for it too? ... !! Haytooter

Thanks for all the comments.... This is a ~future~ project... Not until the 361 is finished... But our overall plan is to extend the frame and replace the spring suspension with an air ride.

To be honest, I never thought I would find a sleeper so fast. So for the mean time it will reside in the garage on a rack :)

And it looks like the sleeper is already painted to match the truck.
