Does anyone know if there are any of the V-1200s with the American LaFrance V-12 still in existance? I'd guess they weren't a very common truck.

I have never even heard of anyone that knew someone that had seen a V-1200. Production numbers must have been very low. I seriously doubt that we will ever see a V-1200 or an electric Brockway. Those two are the rarest of the rare, much more rare than the Metropolitan.

Being introduced in the middle of the great depression probably didn't help either.

There is a guy i know who has one in an old ALF ladder truck that is supposed to run if you're interested in buying it I can give you his #. It's for sale

It wasn't the engine that I wanted to know about, it was the Brockways that had the ALF V12 in them, the Brockway model V-1200.
