More Sightings in PA!

Postby Screamin DD » Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:44 pm

I found this Extremely good shape E359LL @ the same place. I could not believe how good the cab and frame was on this. I think a 74? It has the fiber optic dash. Serial #82097

I wish I could drive around here and find Brockways like that. I don't think there's a single Brockway in south central PA. Now R model Macks, that's a whole other story. Those things are everywhere, to the point where I don't think it's possible to drive more than 5 miles and not see at least one somewhere.

Shelby these are right on US 220 in the town of Pioneer. I know as of about 8 yrs ago there was a block company near Muncy that had a real nice 359 that was all redone

Hey Paul, I know you told me about these a month ago. I was down through there last week and didn't see them. Brockway power, The "FIBER OPTIC" dash was changed from the OLD STYLE metal inicater plates over the rocker swithes, ignition to FIBER OPTIC lit indicaters over the rocker, ignition and such. I have RESIZED these also

Fiber optic dash was a "73 and later "improvement" to the dash on the 300 series. Looks nice but hard to find the parts to repair it.

Where at in Bedford is that 361? Next time I'm up that way I might see if it's still there.

I was running across Route 6 in PA. last week and saw a 100, I would guess late fifties vintage,, series truck between Troy and Mansfield. The truck was a dark blue single axle tractor that said "Gary's" on the side. The truck was sitting on a old rollback MB cab over Mack.

A lot of no Trespass signs around it so I didn't photo it.

Anybody else seen or know about it??

I remember seeing those exact same trucks on Hank's a year or so ago, here's the topic it was posted in.

Great memory Shelby.

That's the trucks I saw.

I'll try to explain.......
If you get off the Pa pike at Bedford.....turn rt after the boths or get off 99 at the Turnpike exit....ang go past the pike...and follow this road a few miles....till you go down a grade to the edge of downtown. Just before the river.....there is a street ( Railroad St.-I think ?? ) that turns rt ( convenient store on corner )...go up this street a little ways and the old 361 sits on the left beside a building. There is some sort of a L Mack wrecker besde it....and a nice A-Car across the street.
