I am new to this forum. And relatively new to Brockway trucks.
I have a 1975 Brockway 759 heavy duty three axle straight truck in our shop for a thorough restoration, and I have some questions. The truck came to us in pieces from an apparent failed earlier attempt at restoration.
The truck is pretty interesting, in that it may have been a very early Mack cab 759 with the Detroit 6v-53. The fitting is pretty crude, as though it was an experiment!
This is a one owner truck with just 49,000 original miles - and it has been kept inside. So it is in very nice original shape. This was/is a rigging truck with a very heavy duty 28' roll-back tilt bed and a large winch. All being reconditioned to original specs.
I have not located the fender hinge hardware or the fender locking brackets (?), and I am wondering if they are available from anyone here? The only other missing item that I have noticed so far (There will be more, I'm sure) is the "Brockway" emblem on the roof panel above the windshield.

If you have the originals remake them up if you have them, or contact Manny Pinto at J Thomas Ltd in Lancaster Pa- they should have those in stock if not mistaken- (hinge hardware & locking bracket). He did have some of the Huskie plates for above the windshield too at one time,
You can also contact Craig Morgan in Chenango Forks 607-692-4218. Craig should be also able to help you in your needs.
If your serial number starts with A759?? then it is an origianl with a 6v-53.

Paul I bought one from Craig Morgan about one year ago. He is good to do business with. That is certainly a different one a 759 with a 6V-53. Joe D.

Thank you for the help - I am sure there will be plenty more questions.
I will make some calls to the names mentioned to see if the fender hinges and the emblem can be purchased.
We had to put a set of re-man injectors in the old girl, so our start-up and test running has been delayed about a week.
Hopefully we will have it fired and running this weekend.
If all goes well, the cab comes off next, the engine & transmission come out, the frame gets stripped and sent off for sandblasting and primer. And we go from there.
