I am looking for a generator for my 1921 Brockway American Lafrance firetruck. The generator must be a base mount with dual yokes one on the front and one on the rear to drive the magneto. It has a 4 cylinder Buda WU engine in it. Also looking for any information as to where this truck was sold new. I only have the engine serial number and do not have the American lafrance registry number. Any info on the Buda WU engine is appreciated.

Do you have a make and model on the generator ? Have you got one now ? I am sure you can find one, but it won't be too easy. New sales information from 1921 may not exist. 2 places to try would be the Cortland Co. (NY) Historical Society, and Mack Trucks Historical Museum Allentown PA. I may have some Buda information contained in larger manuals, do you have specific info you need ? If you want Buda Literature, try ebay, or dealers like Walter Miller or Bob Johnson.
