Selling my 1974 Brockway V359T. Ex Suit Kote truck. V903 Cummins, RT-910 transmission. Runs and drives very well. Could use some faster gears. It was built as 6.14, may still be. 62 is about top speed. Currently on the road. Lots of new work done. Interior is almost finished. Still needs tinkering. Could use paint and drive tires. Other than that its a good driver. Just a chassis as it sits. Was a tractor, then a tank. Many new parts. Too much to list. I need it gone. Im open to any offers. I will send pictures to serious inquires, not picture collectors. Clear title. I dont want to sell, but more important things have come up. Reply through email or call me at 607-743-7475. Email is Brockv903@yahoo.com. Brandon

Are you anywhere near Zigmont's operation? He may be interested in the truck. RZ is a big Brockway collector and I think he has one of every model except a 359. Try him. :P

I drove for a company back in the late 70's that was strictly Mack Truck. They had culled all of the other makes from the fleet to run just Mack. As the work load increased they were in need of another tractor in a hurry and bought a used Kenworth with a 903 Cummins and Spicer 10 speed, the driver loved it, and he said it was the best pulling truck in the fleet. Pokey, at least somebody remembers that there's no replacement for displacement haha. Granted I dont use my truck for anything at the moment, but Ive never down shifted on a hill yet, and there's some good size hills around here.

903's like any other piece of machinery can be killed by a cowboy driver. IF !!! the oil is kept clean, the top end kept adjusted and the engine shifted at 2100 not at full governed rpm, the 903's will last quite well. They do not like being wound out. Remember they were competition for the Detroit 8V-71 and that engine had to be beat on to run right. Driver's switching from one to another often killed the 903 by abuse and the engines reputation suffered. And yes my judgement is impaired, as my 360 has a 500K mile 903 in it that runs fantastic! RZ's lookin for somthing like the machine you got there. Although I just turned him on to one that surfaced up in Syr. town. Good luck on top and if scrap keeps going up, drive it across the scales. (but take some parts off it for me before you do!)

Hey Stubnose!! In review, I just picked up on that snide remark about inline 5 Cyls. I happen to have one that puts 305HP on the pavement! Got a hot rod Chevy you think is fast??

Emery, what inline 5 makes 305 horsepower? Even if they say it does, it certainly doesn't feel like it. Ive ridden in them. On the flip side, My hot rod Chevy is still being built, However i do have a 500+ horse Dodge Cummins truck that i would stack up against many things. When all is said and done, it can still pull the trailer with the broken down inline 5 in question back home.
