Ernie the 12V-71'S in any truck is a sight to see and hear. The first 12-71 I ever saw was in a 400 Series Brockway in 1972 Wickhizer lumber from around Tunkhannock,Pa. owned it. I was driving a 361 Brockway with 250 Cummins at the time. There is another R-700 from Eastern NY area with12V-71 in it. It was at a few shows and Macungie a few years ago. Joe D.

Quadbox,
Yes the first V 12 I ever seen was the brand spankin new 1974 360 Brockway's that Colonial S&S bought!! I had the privlidge to drive one of those, they were hooked to new Montone tri axel dumps. I think they were rated @365hp with 13 R/R an I think 4:56 rears. They were only in Jersey for a few weeks an then they shiped them to NY to be certified to run on the NY State Thruway. Is that the blue R700 from LI NY (DIRTY DOZEN) the one your talkin about?? that tractor has a very short W/B but is a very nice tractor! The one I bought was built in Mack's CA. Plant, it has a 205 W/B an a alum. frame, the guy has another one, but he repowered it with a E9-440 with a roll back body on it that he's looking to get $10,000.00 for it the truck can be seen on the BMT Classified truck section
Ernie

Ernie I do not know if the owner is from the island. It is a blue R-700.I have pictures of it somewhere but do not know how to post them. I remember running out to Long Island in early 70'S. There were quite a few 12V-71 Brockway's pulling tri-axle trailers with high sides. Joe D.
