avatar display difficulty

I tried to post me an avatar but did not have any luck :?: , something about the image size.
any body out there?

Its a common problem, all you need to do is find a photo re-sizer online, of simply use a smaller picture. hope this helps!

I found this is a little tough. I'm not a computer wiz, but I'm not an idiot either. I cropped my image in Microsoft Paint, then ran it through an online avatar maker. It took me almost an hour by the time I figured it out. VERY FRUSTRATING! If anyone has an easier way to do it, it should probably be posted as a new topic to help in searching it. I'm pretty sure that's why avatars don't change too much.

I dont remember having this issue before.I think on other forums it just loaded up like a picture,wonder whats diffrent?

I just set an avatar using a picture within the control panel gallery. There was about 40 pictures.
