well if its the same truck, lower the price from 10K down to 2K so someone can afford it and pay the long dollar to truck it up here. unless tony wants to drive it back from Florida.

:? I could be wrong, but that is not the truck, that truck is too good to be part it out.
:D Thanks Richie for volunteering me to drive the truck.

 It would be nice when people come to the board to sign up for their application to fill in all the dots and then we would know what state they come from we wouldn't have to play a guessing game. Tony

Tony, you are absolutely correct but I quit belly-aching about it out of frustration. I think when you sign up it's not obvious how to fill that stuff out and guys just bypass it leaving us all in the dark.
Why don't you harp on it for awhile then we'll pass it off to someone else and keep it going.

It is not the same truck. It is a 1966 257 running 220 Cummins,5X2 trans, single axle with about 175" wb. He wants $1,000.00 for it located in Zephryhills,Florida. It needs work but $1,000.00 is good price if you live within reasonable distance from it. Joe D.

If case prospective buyers are able to connect with the seller and reach a deal, I obtained a freight quote for the truck to come North for interested parties. I used 12,500 pounds and 18' x 8' x 9.5' dimensions. Picking up in Zephyrhills, FL and dropping off in Endicott, NY (Binghamton). The third party logistics shipper I use came back with the following for a LTL Flatbed:

Jon,

We would have to use an RGN for this (removable goose neck), which provides ramps for driving the truck unto the trailer. In that case the rate would be $1625.00 all in! Keep in mind, it could take 24-48 hours to secure a truck and transit time is about 3 days.

Thank you,

Jennifer Sackrider | Senior Account Manager

If anyone is interested, they are more than welcome to take over where I left off with the 3PL broker to finalize. Contact me for the account information. For that matter, if anyone needs quotes on other shipping, I'll put you in touch with them. As volume brokers, their rates are usually much better than bidding out transport.

It's true, but a quote based on what I entered.

I used them to ship 400# of palletized Cat Grader parts from MD to Calgary, AB last month. They were $200.00 less than any other freight outlet or direct ship using the same carriers (FedEx Freight, OD, ConWay, RoadRunner, etc). I went with them and used OD- I dropped it at their Baltimore terminal. No problems. On time. Total was in the $350.00 range plus insurance.

They quoted a Cat 12 grader I was interested in buying shipping from Massena, NY to MD using LTL train flat car (CSX) for $850.00 a few years ago. That's 26.5k pounds @ ~ 460 miles.

Using a 3PL shipper may make it feasible to move equipment that would have otherwise broken the bank. We have to do what we can to save more Brocks.

Hello my friends let's be happy. :D :D
Here is a picture of the 257 here in Florida on the West Coast. I will try to make arrangements in the next two to three weeks to take a ride over to look at the truck. Todd the owner told me that it is original truck from Florida that he bought from a lumber mill had a flat bed and he removed it.
 Let's find this Brockway a new home. Tony
