Series parallel switch 257-260

Could someone tell me where the series parallel switch is on a late 60's 260 Brockway ? I looked all over to no avail.About only place I missed is under passenger seat. Thanks Joe D.

Joe - not all Brockway have a series parallel. that was a spec item. Look at the data tag on the starter for 12v or 24v. If it is indeed 24v start, follow the battery cables from the battery to the starter, the s/p will be somewhere in between. Many are mounted under the cab, on the floor cross brace. Stan

Thanks Stan. I have the build sheet on the truck. It says model # series parallel switch. I will look under cab this weekend. I think someone could have replaced the 24 volt starter with a 12 volt. I hope so as I do not care for 24 volt start. I thought all Brockways up to the end of the 300 series had 24 volt statr that were Cummins equipped. Joe D.

Get rid of that 24 volt and parallel switch. Don't need it. Had a 761 with that and it was nothing but trouble

Joe - many Cummins equipped 300 series Brockways were built as 12v start. It was a customer chosen spec.
