We're chasing the last few parts to reassemble the 671 and I realized the front rubber mount is wiped out. Steve L. was able to help out with a FelPro gasket set but since there a millions of motor mounts for these engines, this particular piece is not included. I can't find a part number on it either...

Does anyone have a part # for this part or know where I can find one? Or what the proper name is for it?

Tom - is the blue tag with all the engine options still on the valve cover? If so, the mount assembly may be listed. With the assembly number, a dealer can identify the rubber cushion for the torsional mount. Stan

Hi Stan...

Unfortunately there is no trace left of a blue tag. Our motor has the cast aluminum valve cover. When did they switch over from the stamped sheet metal?

The age of your dad's truck the valve cover would have been tin, cast aluminum would have been late '70s or so. I'll try to find my Detroit parts books and see if I can find a part number for you. It may be a day or two, I'm in a training for the next couple of days. Stan

Computer controlled hydraulics on our bucket trucks. Big responsibility when a man is sixty feet in the air. Stan

Awhile back I aquired a 671 gasket kit. I will look to see if it's in there. I know right where it is.

I'm not a big fan. When I worked at Liftech there was a lot of hassle related to computer controlled hydraulics on Hyster and JCB.
