BTPA Truck Of The Week 1-24-16

Postby J.D.George » Sun Jan 24, 2016 1:47 pm

TRUCK OF THE WEEK
For first of many to come, we feature Delavan Whitenight Sr and Jr.'s 1968 E257T, with screaming 6/71 power followed by a 5 speed and 2 speed rear axle, and VERY RARE 3 man cab (Thanks Tom Millard!). This was their first time at the big show, for family and the truck. It was a dump truck when they got it in the mid 1980's when they bought it, and now it enjoys a pampered life of towing whatever style trailer they pick to hook to it, with the 3 styles of hitches they have. Thank you to the Whitenight's, and ENJOY!

It's hard to tell from these pictures, but isn't this the truck with the three man cab?

Nope, I think that truck had a tag axle IIRC...

NIce job J.D.

With no disrespect to Tom M. who was always posting a interesting pic of the week before.
Nice to see it revived.

Steve is correct, that is the truck with the 3 man cab. It is a sister to the other green one with the tag axle. The serial numbers are within a few digits of each other. The truck with the tag was at Macungie this past summer.
