WLC 359 Getting Freshened up

Postby dockmen027 » Sun Jan 04, 2015 8:26 pm

Some of you have seen this 359 before either at Cortland for several shows, or on the Message Board building logging roads for the Show Log Truck. It is this trucks turn for some TLC, some fresh paint and a new dump body as seen here in another thread.

Moving right along here, we have primer going on, and that should bring us up to date. A lot of sanding to follow......

Hey Mark, we are using PPG's high build epoxy primer for bare metal. The tan primer is DuPont's 2k high build filler primer. As for paint I am going to use PPG's industrial performance series acrylic urethane AUE-100 for the frame. The cab is going to get PPG concept, expensive but is a incredible single stage.

I had intended to get some more interior photos, but waited to long, so now the interior is taped off and we're ready for some exterior color.

One day, everyone showed up with a paint brush and the 359 turned green, then it made the trip over to the finishing department.

WOW :!: :!: THat is coming along nicely!!
Looks like a mirror finish on the back of the cab.
Now they won't want to take it to the woods any more.

Great job!

Thanks for posting pics John.
