A few photos from Dave Whalen of his 361 on the job, you may remember it from the 2012 Show in Cortland.

Couple of new photos from little Dave, this time of the other show truck, the 359. This one he titles, "Brockway building road for another Brockway", as the haul road had to be beefed up for the log truck.

Photo update from Dave Whalen of the two Working Show Trucks, The 361 on duty, up on the mountain with a lite load of logs and then a picture of the 359's old dump body being unloaded at the scrap yard.

Three photos of the new/used replacement dump body for the 359 at the welding shop, the last pic being the finished product in primer.

Dave that body was in decent shape when I had it but it appears that you have replaced 95 % of it. Can you give us some details. New boxes make old dumpers look great.

Dave you are right it is basically a new box. At first I just wanted to raise the cab protector to fit the 359, build a new tailgate because that was mangled and put new sheetmetal on the sides because it was pretty well punched out. The guy who did the work, Phillip J Ortiz mfg of Hopewell Junction, NY recommended that we just build new sides for it. He said that would be easier than cutting out the old, etc. He went for it and it came out great. As with all projects I spent more money than anticipated but he did some other things like make it a two way tailgate. Important as well it still has the look of a original body and still came out to be a quite a bit less than a new one. When spring breaks I plan to blast and paint the truck frame and body when time allows.
