Anyone know the story behind the '74 359 yellow dump truck with the "Limited Edition" tags under the Brockway script? Real thing or just a customization?

Unrelated, I thought this was a cool Huskie.

The stickers on the 359 I would say are just a joke. I never knew about the 50th ann. emblem! I just showed my dad ad he told me that Craig Morgan said all the 62's were badged with that. Someone took to one off of our sleeper truck.

Jeff I saw that and learned of it at the show as well. I knew the dog changed to gold that year (1912-1962) but never saw the year plate before.

Talked with Sean Quail, who's dad own's the 359 with the "limited edition" name plates. It seems that the driver for the township that originally owned the truck, installed them when the truck was brand new. Nothing special about the truck, other than it is very straight and a excellent survivor.

I think that might've been the truck my brother and I saw Friday night down in the area of the Sunoco off of exit 10.

I got a question about another truck at the show. The white 761 with tube type alum.wheels on the front and the for sale sign in the windshield, was that the same truck Paul P. got from Buddy Sombart's auction in MO?

I don't believe so. Paul's white and silver 761 came from Ohio. As far as I know it isn't for sale either.

I think Mike is referring to the white 761 Dave M had for sale.

Stan, would you happen to know what Township that might have been? At first I thought this was the possibly ex Schuyler Co. tandem from up in Syracuse that was discussed here a while back but then realized it wasn't.

Sean is a member of this site, perhaps he will answer this post. If not I will try to remember to ask him next time I see him.

Thanks Sean and Stan!

Slightly off topic, if anyone else has any interest in such things, last I knew there was an orange ex Town of Solon FWD (ca 1960 I'd guess) sitting on a side road north of RT 221 just east of Marathon.
