Saw this last week near Alpine on RT 13 doing work on a bridge. When I went back to find it it had been moved from the bridge where I had seen it -- Lucky thing I went on an exploration trip!!
Fortunately, it had been parked just of the main road on a seasonal use road -

Economy Paving has had that truck for years. Every once in a while it pops up. I remember someone telling me that it has a fiberglass radiator shell on it.

I'm thinking it was an old DeFazio Tractor. Mine has the fiberglass one too. As well as headlights and the cutout on the fenders. They cut the lower front cowl to fit the fenders in too. I wondered why they just didn't cut the fenders to fit instead of the cab. The passenger fuel tank is back also, so it must have been a grass burner @ one time ( incorrect vertical exhaust bracket also)

I have seen this truck up close. Its a 671 with a turbo!!!! That truck is bad a**. But it is getting cosmetically weak over the years.

So the grill shell itself is fiberglass? I have never seen one before...

I have access to one if you'd like to see it. I was made by Northeast Fiberglass I believe.

Speaking of fiberglass, what's the latest and greatest with the "molds" that northeast fiberglass had for making the grille inserts and such? Do they still have them? I've heard several rumors. I think another order to them could be generated. Last time Mike P. and I ordered with a few other guys. Got a decent product at a fair price.

Peter and I just saw a red 758LL dump truck pulling a trailer with and old Mack on it. It was headed north on RT 15 in I think Woodward Township, Pennsylvania, that's what the Fire department said. The radiator insert was painted red also. Nice to see it still working. Anyone know who it might belong to. Let's get it to Cortland in FIVE WEEKS !!!!!

I bought the fender molds several years ago and thought my son Todd would want them for winter work for some of the employees but it hasn't worked out. I have my local body shop that started doing the sandblasting and painting of my fleet when my back gave out. He was looking at the forms and wants to see what he can do, so I will keep this site up to date when I have some news. If they work out I know NE Fiberglass wants to sell the rest of the forms. To make them properly a fiberglass chopper gun is needed which is expensive.
