I was not able to get too many clean left side shots because the group that I was with, was all over it drooling etc. In every photo with people looking the truck over, everybody was smiling....

Don't want to slight the Chester Express or Dave Durling over at the main show.

Thanks for all the WOW comments and thank you John for posting the pictures as I never seem to be able to do it. I had hoped to be further along and bringing it to Cortland this year but that isn't going to happen. I'm shooting for next year.

Congratulations Doug,
Beautiful, gorgeous etc. I met my first U360TL in August 1981 and the rest is history. I bought that one in 1990 and it will be on display in the Brockway Museum for the next year. It seems it took a long time for this revolution in love and thinking to take place toward U360's and U762's. It would be interesting to know if Brockway built more 12V71's than any of the other manufacturers. In Cortland today someone asked me if Thunder (aka 12V71 with Allison) would be making a scene on Route 11 during the National Show. At one time there were a lot running in the Hudson Valley and in Michigan pulling the infamous Michigan Trains.

It seems there will be a lot of "first Time" Brockways at the show in August. The fever is rising.

Thanks Peter, I think your U360 was the first one I had ever seen and then seeing the Long Road video pretty much set me on a path to having one of my own. The problem was trying to find one. It's been 7 years now since I dragged it home and tore it down to the bare frame. I'm looking to have it done for 2013 I hope. On hindsight I would have been better off to have mortgaged my house and bought Raymond Lucia's V12!

One year later.......Step By Step, Inch By Inch.....

Doug said that the hood is in the paint shop at this time, the fenders are next.

The sound of the doors closing is like it just came out of the factory, check out the license plate.

It won't be long.....

I want to say thanks to Doug for inviting us down to look at this beautiful machine. He really has done beautiful work, and has put exceptional time and effort into this truck. I agree with the door sounds, and it runs like a brand new truck! It was truly fantastic to see it in person.
