I enjoyed the show but I only got back as far as Syracuse, water pump rad hose my 250 is cooked$1400.00 tow bills to get home, the engine oil is full of water.it's light grey looks like it came from a bad compressor.Major work this winter.About $6000.00 weekend by the time she's fixed.

Pete, Nice meeting you at the show. Sorry to here about your ride home. I know it's too late now, but you'd been more than welcome to leave your truck here in Rochester at my place if you had to. I had my own issues getting home. Another drive tire blew out on the KW on the thru way. Hope your able to get her to the show next year. Dane

I'm so sorry that happened.Did the radiator hose blow? Then the water pump, then the engine? Towing is always frighteningly expensive. On the good side, now is the time to upgrade?

Nick :(

The bottom rad hose let go, got hot repaired hose ,discovered water pump was leaking real bad, tried to limp home watching the heat got 50 miles ,then 30 then 20 then 10 ,lots of smoke or steam out of exhaust, will still run,no missbut doesn't sound right .I changed the oil ,there was a fair sized piece of metal that I could feel with my finger in the pan thru the drain hole,I think that the 335 is going to be the way to go cost wise, even if the 250 can be fixed, which I have my doubts

335 is the way to go; way cool engine. I overhauled a 230 that is going to scrap soon. Replaced by a 290; and I'm not going back, as good an engine as it was.
