Glen

Thanks for taking the time to post my pictures.
I told him about the 100th anniv blowout next year and put this website addy on the back of my card. He is from the Pittsburg area and we talked briefly about getting up onto RT 17 to come across to Elmira and up 13 so hopefully he will show up.

I like this!! It still looks like a real truck. Kinda like a newer version of the shop truck/Banana wagon. Which is my all time favorite Brockway. Did you get any specifics on it such as engine power train??

Read glen's post at the top!!!

300HP L-110 Cummins and Allison tranny. He also has Super Singles on the rear, which I do not like as I had them on the last company Freightliner.

Thanks Brocky, I got too far down the post to see it! So the Alison is an automatic like Thunder runs? And super singles are large single tires as opposed to dual rear tires?

Yes the super singles replace a set of duals.

They were designed by Michlien and are supposed to get better fuel milage but new they cost more than a pair of regular tires. When you blow one you are parked waiting for a service truck and better have about $1200 bucks in your pocket plus if you bent the rim it will jump to $2000!!!!!!

I put about 500,000 miles on them and never really trusted them. I never got into much snow but in mud they were useless but that also might have been the tread design our company used.

If you watch on 85 or 77 for CFI, Mesilla Valley, and some others you will see what we are talking about.
