I don't know why it took me so long but I finally licensed the 761 triaxle and used it to haul a couple loads yesterday. I am still smiling. 1975 K761LL86736,Trying to get used to driving 318 with 13 speed, found a few hills :).

Run that 318 like you hate it. Keep your rpm's up and use your splitter. I had one in a K361 tractor before I did my V-12 and it always got the job done. Keep oil in it and your air cleaners up and they never let you down.

Glad you guys like the pics! The truck drives and handles very smooth. Glen-empty it goes pretty good, the 318 keeps you active,Jeff-just as advertised "run it like you hate it" or "shut your hand in the door before you get in" I have heard for years and now understand. Pokey-if you heard the jake you might smile for a couple days like me. I swear it was by accident but I hit the jake near a lady mowing her lawn and she came about a foot off the seat of her cub cadet.Haven't looked forward to hauling gravel in some time(taking her out today).....Brian

P.S. The acquisition of this truck is a story in itself, remember to ask huskidrive 359 paul or myself at the next brockway event!some of you have heard it

Hey Brian......nice truck shots. The guys are telling you right...keep her wound up and she'll do just fine.
Not to open and old subject but........ would you really want one of those "ugly CAT trucks " now???
Like I've said you can't beat the classics and what your doin...is real truck drivin' in my book!

Great trucks! Nice photos. That would look great if you added a nice old Cat 215 in the back ground.

Your another one in my hunt down and visit list as well. When I know I'm traveling in your direction I'll give you a heads up. Would love to see the trucks and equipment.

Happy Truckin'

Next time you get down in "rebel territory" to visit Emery, the two of youwill have to come on down to visit me in SC. I am now retired and would be home most all the time although I am going to be hunting a part time job for parts and beer money.

Hey Brian,
Truck looks right at home working like it should. Looks sharp too, btw.
The thing about all the old two cycle Detroits, if they're not turning high rpm, they're not going to pull. Like my friend Oakey says, drive it like you stole it!!
Btw, my Cromwell 761 is 201 trucks after yours.

Brian, looks good seeing one working. With all the washed out side roads I'll bet you'll be busy right up until Thanksgiving or later.

As you've probably noticed, I haven't made it up yet this year, I was planning on coming up a couple weeks ago when I went on vacation, but the flood kinda put a damper on those plans.

Is that the gravel pit off Earl Rd?

Stretch-Look forward to your visit or anyone else travelling I-88 near Oneonta(5 minutes off exit 12).I know where our 215 is but I have that size covered so maybe a 225D-LC Cat will do. Clay-this truck is 1 serial away from red tilt hood dump that was at show 2-3 years ago(six trucks spec'd same-that one repowered). Keith-pic with 310 JD backhoe is gravel bank behind old deer head restaurant (1/2 mile from earl pit). Heading to earl pit today, you would have needed a boat to go between these banks a couple weeks ago.Spent the weekend running new battery cables from starter to battery disconnects among other things. I got a crimping tool at a local store and made my own cables.Went pretty well for a challenged mechanic like me........Brian

Last job of Season! was hoping to be done working for awhile. My dad is getting used to the 318 with 13 speed and is ready to retire the r model. So looks like I have to break out the pressure washer tomorrow.

Stretch-trailer looks to have been painted, brought up here by a guy from jersey with a weekend place. Straight as an arrow 69 rogers 40 ton, pony or wetline. vintage all the way! Patriot-don't call our 690-d Jd old,she won't like it :) Should have kept ward here a little longer you could have hauled with it.
