This picture was forwarded to me from one of our newest members, Kyle Maslyn (Screamin DD). This is really a great pic and both of us thought it would make a great 'Pic of the Week'...

Here is the info Kyle forwarded me with the picture...

"A friend of mine named Charlie Hackett gave me a pic of a [Gennesse Brockway] and I scanned it and cleaned it up. The original was takin by DiLORENZO, 129 Salisbury St. Rochester N.Y. See he bought a used one in the early 70's From them. The pic is of Unit #237, he bought Unit #233. N257T Serial# 66966, 220 Cummins,5x2 air shift, added tag axle afterwards... I am guessing it may be Seriall#66970, Because my friend (Charlie Hackett's) serial was 66966, kinda makes sense."

Great pic and ok beer. An old Genny Beer 100 series Brock sat for years off lyell ave and Mt. Read Blvd. at Genesee steel. She was all lettered up and looked in decent shape. That was 10 yrs. ago and it looks as though the lot was cleaned up. Thanks for the pic Kyle.

Nice picture of a solid workhorse. Keep pictures coming please. I remember back in 1960'S a lot of 40,000+ loads were moved by single axle 220-250 Cummins or 6-71 Detroits rag tires also. I was a rider and unloader back then.Just happy they would let me go deliver in NYC with them. Help unload and load back up for a dinner at Walt's Truck Stop on old RT.46. Joe D.

This should go here, because they were beer haulers, too. Just like Beverage Dane, but not as nice. B.E. Wright From Seneca Falls, N.Y.

Check back a few months ago on the board for the pic of Beverage Transport's fleet lined up there at their barn in Bloomfield. I think it was a pic of the week at one time.?. If Tom has it handy, maybe he can repost it under the fleet topic. Thanks for posting the Brockway pics Kyle. Dane

Thanks Dane, If you remember that is how our conversation started at the show. You posted that Beverage pic and it brought back memories. I knew Jimmy Fitz, Hukleberry AKA: (Kenny Johnson or Later, KJ Transpotation), Doug Duffy, Big Bob Bleier, Fred Fellows just to name a few. I think they had some old Penn Yan Tractors And some "B" model Mack too
