A couple great photos from the BTPA archives. Factory photo of a oil field spec 260 model, with optional full width sliding rear window. We are not sure what part of the globe these were distend for but they were ready for the work they were intended for!

Optional construction grade steel fenders. If I remember correctly they were $55 extra in 1970. Most collectors frown on diamond plate fenders when hunting to buy a Brockway and quickly change the to the standard fender. Few people realize that they might actually be "rare" optional fenders.

Thank you for all the pictures. I enjoy them and it keeps things here a bit more lively. People get tired of pictures of my trucks...

Is that what I have heard referred to as the "S" model?

It was on the drawing board when Brockway closed in 1977. Since Mack owned Brockway at that time, they owned the drawings. In 1978 Mack released the Superliner, a model that has striking similarities to Brockway's design. I have seen one document calling this Brockway "the proposed 800 series"

Not a factory photo, but it was a truck used at the factory. Here is the famous Banana wagon used for many years by Cortland Co Hwy Dept.. Originally painted red, it was used by the factory as general run around truck used as needed. It has been restored by a group of volunteers and was donated to the Brockway Truck Preservation Assoc. by Cortland Co. and resides at the museum.

The Crispell family were loyal Brockway customers right to the very end. Dick Crispell had several Brockways in his collection. Since his passing several years ago most, if not all, have been sold to other collectors by the family.
