Winter

Postby Second » Wed Dec 06, 2017 6:57 pm

Thought I would start a winter truck thread. This is an older shot but I like it.

I came across this photo from a couple of years ago when we had a 3ft snowfall. I tried to get my wife Joanne to put on her mother’s fur coat and stand on the fender, I didn’t have any luck with that. Pokey

I am starting to think that there is no winter up north this year. We would like to send it back up. This was yesterday and seemed to be a different shot.

I had several winter time pictures of my various Huskies out playing in the snow taken through the years, but when the old computer died, those never made it to the new data base. Guess I'll Have to get another Brockway and start over!

I am quietly looking. Should I find something, one thing for certain (almost) is that it would be a long nose 300 series. Now that I'm retired, being on a fixed income is a little challenging at times.

A fellow Brockway enthusiast in Bloomfield NY bought it. It continues to come to the Cortland show and as of right now, resides in my shop having several upgrades done such as AC and an air dryer as well as several maintenance issues. The owner also has a Brockway N359TL undergoing a total frame up restoration. I rebuilt the engine, transmission and front axle in my shop. Since I've retired I've been doing truck component rebuilds/repairs under the name "Vintage Diesel and Gear". Here's the NH-230 all dressed and ready for show after a bare block overhaul.
