Dump truck wanted

Im still looking for a Brockway dump. 10 wheeler preferred. May look at single axles as well. Also will look into chassis that will accept a 14' box.

69 Brockway 358 Rollback

69 358. Nh230 cummins, 5 speed with air shift 2 speed rear. Recently painted, fiberglass fenders, currently licensed and inspected. Tubeless rubber. I just haven't used it like I hoped. May be open to trades of other trucks and trailers.

Re: Brockway trucks of Johnson City

Joe, it has a small donaldson resonator under the truck, and brought up to 5" pipe afterward, to a 5" stack.

At this point, we are pretty current with the 358, so here is a picture of how it looked the day I first looked at it.

Re: Brockway trucks of Johnson City

After the body was in working order, it was time to give it a test run. My buddies truck was down with some transmission issues, and he needed it moved to the shop. The bed on the 358 sure looks pretty big until you cram a truck of this size on the deck.

Re: Brockway trucks of Johnson City

Huskyhuskie wrote:Nice project. That looks like that will be a handy truck to have around. How are you going to keep all of your friends from wanting to borrow it to move something?

Thats admittedly part of the plan, to get some side work with the truck which will help pay for the hobby.

Re: Brockway trucks of Johnson City

After its big debut at Cortland, it was time to get back to work. I hadn't done any work to the rollback body itself, as my main focus was getting the truck itself going. After changing a bunch of hydraulic hoses, and getting some paint on it, here it is after running the body back for the first time.

Re: Brockway trucks of Johnson City

Thanks Stan, you're welcome over anytime. After a few more very long days, and even longer nights, we rolled into to Homer early in the morning before the show. This is the 3rd time id ever driven the truck, and she made made the journey well.
