Re: This board is still on DayLight Savings time!

Board is going to be going thru some growing pains as we search for a new webmaster. A big thanks to Jason Millard for all his assistance in the past. He will be devoting more time to his company and it's related work load. Thanks Jason!

Re: Tires for sale

$250 seems like a fair price but since I have had no response, I am now looking for offers. If no one wants them, they will be scrapped. So if you need some cheap rubber, now's your chance! These are legal tires. Stan

Re: media player ads

Spam - just block them out. Only upgrades that I do are Microsoft, and I review each before saying ok.

Re: E361T Progress - NEW PROJECT!

That's great work Tom. Thanks for posting all the information, like the little "detail" brackets. Many people are inspired by your project, myself included. While working on my truck, I often find myself thinking "how would Tom do this" when fabricating a piece. You have made all...

Re: Brockway Pic of the Week 10-14-13

Here's what WIKI-pedia says:

What is the typical weight of one gallon of whole milk?
In: Weight and Mass [Edit categories]
Answer:
About the same as one gallon of water 8.33 lbs
8.6 lb/gal is the industry standard which accounts for the solids content of raw milk.

Hope this helps!

Tires for sale

I have four matching 10.00R20 traction tires mounted on split Dayton style rims. They have approximately 40% tread remaining, and are not weather checked. The rims are not rusty, but could use some fresh paint. I am asking $250 for the set of four. Nice tires for a hobby truck, only reason I pulled ...

Wow, nice truck and great background story. The old gentleman must take very good care of his equipment. Nice to see the matching trailer.

Re: Detroit Diesel 12 cylinder balancer question

Frank - hardwood block and heavy hammer, hit on flange driving towards engine similar to removing a drive axle with tapers on the studs. Also use a small taper chisel in the split to "open" the wedge. Once things start to loosen, use a puller to pull on flange. Clean crankshaft first so we...

Re: 425 Cat in a 360?

If you can afford Cat's outrageous pricing, not to bad. They would be able to supply most everything for an overhaul.

Just curious, how can you be "pretty sure" the engine is stuck? Have you been to see this?

Re: Cooling system questions

Yes, the shutters (proper term) are operated by air. Follow the air line from the actuation ram on the side of the radiator and down on the bottom you will see a device called a shutterstat. It monitors water temperature in the bottom of the radiator going back into the engine and turns the air on o...

Re: Brockway Pic of the Week 8-30-13

More than likely it is a "C" series Cummins such as C-180, CS-185 etc. They are in-line six of about 464 cubic inch. Very popular engines back then and very durable, but not very powerful. I remember working on some that a local township had, in the same style 358 chassis. They were a neat...
