Re: 1963 Brockway 257T-24 Serial number is 61244.

I had passed the information on to John so he could post the pictures for Al Kaefer, [who is a friend of a friend]. We talked in terms of a possible fair price at less than scrap value to a collector who might rescue the old jewel , and clean up the environment . How about $1500.00 or offers ?

Re: Brockway Truck Show Registrations

Who's the guru in charge of the stuff donated for the Friday night auction ? I picked up 3 pallets of Brockway parts yesterday at O.K. Brugman Ready Mix in Mantua,Ohio , then delivered them to Dan Schaefer's in North Lima, kinda figuring he'll be defending his slow truck title . 1 pallet had 3 compl...

Re: Long Nose 257

John ----On one of the many roads I've taken between Penn Yan and Geneva over the years , I remember a Brockway 2 axle tractor setting on a farm on a county road . One of these days I'll have to see what's left of it .

Re: Dexheimer 359 on the job!

That's an aftermarket universal electric operator for a standard window regulator . We'd install them when I worked at IHC Akron in the late '80s . Seems they were less than 100 bucks .

Re: Brockway Pic of the Week 5-14-12

That was Donaldson's large truck version of "ram air" ,kind of a take off of Chrysler's tuned intake runners . If you had a dial restriction guage in the cab,you could see running down the highway that restriction would drop and ,of course, efficiency increase . It would also help get more ...

Re: Looking for a flywheel. 671 detroit

Lud-----Did you find the flywheel and clutch you're looking for ? If not,it's helpful to know if you need an SAE #2 or #1 ,also if it's for a pull type or push type clutch .

Re: Green Cabover headed north on I-81

Mike-----It needs to be a cast iron #1 housing with 6 bolt mounting pads at 5 and 7 o'clock . Paul has one mount to verify the hole spacing . Some IHCs may have a #1 housing with a #2 flywheel , I believe for the starter to clear the rear hanger of a front spring . This combination moves the starter...

Re: Green Cabover headed north on I-81

Paul-----Struck out on the housing today , the one I have is similar to yours wth cast iron SAE # 1,and high mounting pads above the crank center line . Did find a governor cover, but not the governor yet . Time to send out an SOS for some V71 stuff, including a flywheel for 15.5"Spicer clutch an...
