Shelby's right, I looked through 3 years of old email to find info on that one at walkers. It's a 1958 257. So this must be in the same ballpark?

I saw it, but It's a 73/74 361 with a 13 speed; I don't think they could have screwed that ad up more if they tried!

I think jeff has a good point, cost was probably a factor too. From a materials standpoint the only difference between a regular carbon steel and stainless steel is that stainless steel has a percentage of chromium in the alloy. The amount of chromium affects the grade and type of the stainless steel.
