Re: Sign in

I'm still here in Alabama. I'm still looking for any brockways with the serial numbers around 79066 if anyone comes across one.

Re: Barn Find

I talked to Marcus Hogue of shealy truck center in South Carolina. He is the director of inventory and he knows nothing about this truck. It isn't in any of their locations.

Happy thanks giving

Happy thanksgiving everyone. I have been trying to put some pics of the brockways at their new home but I am having no luck so far. I just wanted everyone to know that Steve S. went way above and beyond the call of duty to help me out with the trucks. If all of the members are as good as Steve and D...

Re: currently on ebay..

This truck is approx. 11 miles from my mother-in-law's house. But work prevents me from going up there and looking at it for anyone.

Re: 361 to a 359

I just bought the 359 and it's still in PA. I have to get it to Al. as soon as the snow melts. It hasn't ran in a couple of years. I will check all of the things that you mentioned when I get it here.. Thanks Leonard

Re: 361 to a 359

My 361 was 1 of 10 to be sent to Lakeland FL. I haven't gotten any leads on any of the other 9 trucks so I would like to put my truck back as original as can be. I hope to make 2 trucks. My 359 has a water leak on the front of the motor. Is this something that was normal on the pt270 motors?

Re: 361 to a 359

my truck only had the transmission. Wrong motor and rear end and it was cut and spliced together. I don't want to butcher the 359

Re: 361 to a 359

So could I just use my 359 fenders? If I cut the floor and modify it then it would look like a 359 on the inside? I was wondering if I could move the cab mounts or something like that to make it look like a 361?

361 to a 359

I have a dumb question for you guys. I have bought a 359 and it has all of the running gear to restore my huskidrive. Can I take my 361 cab, hood.fenders, etc. and put them on a 359 frame? Anybody ever heard of that or done that? If not then I will buy a cutoff and weld to my 361. I don't want to cut...

pt270 motor

Somebody tell me once again how to tell the pt270 motor. I might have located one but I need to know how to tell if it is one by looking at it. I got the roof from Double Dog delivered by R&L Carriers(wasn't a good experience) but Double Dog is a great person and I really enjoyed dealing with hi...

roof panel

I decided to try to buy a roof panel for my 361(work schedule making it hard to find time to make one). Stan, do you still have one? I will be in West Virginia around December 16 and can try and make it to NY if anybody has one. Thanks, Leonard

Re: 1973/74 Brockway N361T in upcoming Alabama auction

I love all the discussion about the huskidrive. I just wish somebody could tell me where a 5.05-3.70 rear is where I could buy it and make my huskidrive truck back to where it should be. thanks guys

Re: 1973/74 Brockway N361T in upcoming Alabama auction

I have the lever in the middle of the picture and the air line. Does that count. I'm laughing to keep from crying. I don't know why the guy wanted to keep the truck when it was butchered like that. Everbody keep your eyes and ears open and in the meantime I will be restoring the cab, hood, and fenders.

Re: 1973/74 Brockway N361T in upcoming Alabama auction

Jason, if you happen to be in the area of the shop where the brockway came from stop by and ask the mechanic if the rear end for this truck might still be there. Dont make a special trip though. thanks Leonard

Re: 1973/74 Brockway N361T in upcoming Alabama auction

I can't get the right information on the motor. All I know is that it came out of a 1978 ward lafrance fire truck with 30k miles on it. The splitter for the rear end is under the dash and below the trailer hand brake isn't it? The rear end has a plug where the splitter should be. I guess I could put...

Re: 1973/74 Brockway N361T in upcoming Alabama auction

I think that they changed the rear end when they shortened the frame. Is there another way to tell the huskidrive rear end. This one doesn't have the splitter box or anything connected to the rear end. Also how hard will it be to find a huskidrive rear end. I found a 270 turbo motor but it is in Mai...
