one other note, the round injecters must be installed in a certain


way for peek power. this involveds a clock postion ,1oclock working from the pump side. the last time i did 1970 on a n459tl big help

While working at brockway in boston 1961-1970 ,i removed a 44bd in a 158l converted to triple nickel cummins ,big inprovement. This does not help you much,just brings back memorys

I noticed all the garage doors in these great picures, Boston had 2 doors in and out with 10+ stalls very easy to work with and easy to heat, really miss the truck and the people.

I am pretty sore that it is a h257t, it had the metal over wood doors. the picture shows a cummins oil pan a 195e engine with a first tune up we would change to a 220. chuck l

If you look at the engine shown in the brochure, it shows a gas engine probably a continetal 44bd. I never saw a small gas engine in a257 or258, did i miss something? chuck L

I sure picture was taken at the Portland Me shop. I worked on this truck several times at the Bostonbranch. If i had a penney for every pound of potatos this old girl pulled out of the COUNTRY, through the hainsville woods into Bean town, there would be only play in my future. Chuck logan

Chuck you mention Lopez Waltham,Mass. They had a terminal directly behind ours in Port Newark,NJ in 1970'S. Company Trucks as I remember were all Brockways with Detroit Diesel 8V-71'S. Ispent from 1961 to 1970 working in the Boston branch, I will name fleets as memory will allow . Someone had picture of a blueline n358tl, in fact they bought 4 of them and i installed automatic greaseing systems on all of them,1/8th plastic tubing to each fitting and timed by x number of brake appl...

My father and I both worked on that truck at diferent times at brockway in Boston. Mr mcCabe was a large soft spoken gentleman with hands as big as basketballs. I saw this truck in salisbury Mass. a few years ago.
