Auction Aug 19

Mack auction Aug 19 @ 1000, 1492 Old Concord Rd. Henniker, NH. Lots of old Macks and one Brockway. Looks like a 147 but didn't get to vin tag. Body and frame look good. Cylinder head in front seat. I have no connection to this truck other than I live in town.

By the serial # it looks like a 1944. Anyway, it's old, but looks good.

Re: Brockway Pic of the Week 2-11-13

The wrecker body looks like its from an Army 5 ton wrecker. Rugged body on a rugged chassis. Looks like the French got this one correct.

Re: Blizzard Talk

I remember the blizzard of 78. I flew into Boston on the first plane to land. A C-130. Snow drifted over the wings of planes stuck at the gates. We flew back to NH in 2 hueys up I-93 at 500 feet. The only thing moving were snow machines and cross country skiers. What a site. This time I safe at home...

Re: Brockway Pic of the Week 1-21-13

They would build a log crib on the up hill side of the road and then lay logs to the truck and roll them on. I can remember seeing then when I was a kid (50s). Crude but effective. Hydrolics sure are fun.
