Re: Hello all new here

If you started with a standard 360 frame the front axle would be in the right place. 160 or 172 inch wheelbases were popular on U360s.

Re: Rebirth of Colprovia 7321

Hi Wade, You very well could have passed some of the old Colprovia/O&G Brockways back in the 90's over in Connecticut. I believe they sold them off around 1997. The Colprovia/O&G tractors are all accounted for. The big power 300 series, the H360 (1693 Cat) and the U360 (12v71 Detroit) were p...

Re: Rebirth of Colprovia 7321

Hello Duke, 7321 was one of 8 H360s owned by Colprovia. In 1988 O&G Industries acquired Colprovia, a company that had a blacktop plant in the heart of Westchester County. Its kind of a long story but 7321 along with it"s 6 surviving sisters ended up in Connecticut painted O&G gold. It b...

Re: JD George's Picture of the Day

Maybe he's the forerunner of the Chinese snowplows that seem to be so popular on most largecars today....

Re: Brockway trucks of Johnson City

Nice project. That looks like that will be a handy truck to have around. How are you going to keep all of your friends from wanting to borrow it to move something?

Re: Detroit Fan Clutch

Hi Tom, I've used Horton fan clutches for over thirty years. I think they are the best, they are either totally on or off, are easily rebuilt, parts are readily available, the on-off temperatures can be varied by which sensor you pick and you can install a override switch. I know they are expensive ...

Very interesting to watch you progress. The way your mounts ended up looks just like the rear ones in our Peterbilts.

Re: Milano 360

In response to Haytooter's question of a few days ago I believe that Brockway painted all interiors green, at least on the 300 models. A lot of guys like to customize their trucks by painting the interior some other color such as the same as the cab or frame.

Re: 1971 358 single axle. Opinion's invited-requested even...

If you are nervous about it I would jack up that wheel and make sure the wheel bearings are not loose for some reason and then drive it over there. Wheel seal leaks usually look worse than they are as far as oil loss. The price he quoted doesn't seem too far out of line as long as the hour doesn't t...
