Please respect the area that is blocked. The land across the river where we used to send the fireworks is off lim...

Museum Paving

The parking lot is now dirt. Next Monday the paving will begin. The request is being made that if your truck, especially Detroits, drips oil you must bring drip pans and place them under your truck AT ALL TIMES, so as to not destroy the new pavement.

Re: 2017 show

Stan, Each year we get fewer volunteers to help with the show. A table on Friday night is a nice idea, but if people could just fill out the registration form when it comes in the mail and mail it in, then the forms would be made out in advance for the show and take a lot of hustle off Shirley's cre...

Re: 2017 show

A lot of planning and hard work goes into pulling off this Great annual gathering of BrockwaY lovers. If people would preregister, it will be a great help in planning. Had to go out and resupply food for Saturday night and Sunday morning, plus it would help at the registration desk to move more quic...

Re: BrockwaY glider kit

I bought a glider kit from Manny in February of 1988. It became a N776LL and has a van body on it. Paid about $20,000 for the frame, cab, sheet metal and a number of miscellaneous pieces, plus a couple gold dogs thrown in the deal. There were a dozen or so 761 tilt hoods and a lot of 776 cabs. The w...

Re: Can we make this site active again?

This site is usually slow during the winter season when a lot of the 'Puppies' are in outside kennels and the weather makes it difficult to work on them.

Re: 2017 Host Hotel ?

I don't know if Jeremy has checked with Ramada as the host hotel. Susan and I have been working on Holiday Inn Express and Perkins, both owned by the same company. She decided to freeze her rear so she is in New York for a few days. I will check with her when I talked to her.

Re: Brockway Mixer

I have known the family for a long time. Sold 6 Oshkosh mixers in 1995 to them when I owned Albany Freightliner Inc. They won't sell the complete unit because they fear someone will go into business and compete. I told them I wouldn't be worried about that. The old mixers are rode hard, never washed...

12V71 Engine change

Frank, Yes I believe they are coming out of the woodwork or the fields where they have been lying for years, almost forgotten. My love of 12V71's started back in the late 70's when I had the chance to buy a Peterbilt COE with a 12V71, six speed transmission and a pair of three speed rears. One day I...

Re: Then and Now

I lived in Brunswick, NY about 10 miles from Grafton where Gundrum ran a pair of them. Used to come up behind me and apply the Jakes. Loved the sound. Went to the auction where one sold for $7700 and the second one went for a lot more. I was building a house and didn't have the funds. They were very...
