With 11 successful shows under our belt we are anxiously getting ready for our 12th show. Every year the show gets bigger and better and this year is no exception. This year the show will be held August 11th through the 14th and will also include a handful of new activities. This year the show will get kicked off one day earlier, Thursday, with a truck cruise to the Bass Pro Shop in Auburn, NY. This "Huskie Drive" will start at 10:00 at the Museum with a planned arrival at Bass Pro at noon. Then on Friday a BBQ dinner will be held at the Museum under the pavilion from 5 to 8. Reservations are required. The annual auction will start right at 8:00 followed by fireworks at 9:30.
The 'big day' is on Saturday with a parade from the Museum to Downtown Cortland. The parade starts at 8:30 with trucks lining up in front of the Museum up to an hour earlier. Two blocks of Main Street are sectioned off from regular traffic and trucks are parked from one end to the other. As with years in the past, a Brockway Exhibit will be provided by the Cortland Historical starting at 9:00 followed by the SUNY Iron Pour at 10:00, the Diamond Someday Bluegrass band at 11:00 and awards at 3:00. A chicken BBQ dinner will be held at the Museum starting at 5:00 which includes Former Brockway Employee Recognition as well. As with the other dinner, reservations are required and can be made in advance via the contact form posted below.
Also new the year is a Pancake Breakfast which will be held on Sunday right at the Museum from 7:00 to 11:00. This will be a pay at the door event which is followed by the local ATCA's yearly truck show
Corporate sponsors for this years show include Suite-Kote, Grimm Building Materials, Rich & Rich Towing along with Syracusa Sand and Gravel. The host hotel for the weekend is the Ramada on 2 River Street in Cortland. Brockway Rates are $75.00 per night so make sure to make your reservations early.
